HOLIDAY HOME IN FRANCE

Welcome to the website of the   Komrij family . We are the happy owners of a holiday home (5 Persons.) in France. (Brittany). Situated in a calm surroundings  and on short distance of the village  Briec de l' Odet (4.5 KM) and the city Quimper. (8 KM). Here in Brittany, where the tourism still must come, your holiday can become an unforgettable success.. The whole year long this holiday home is for rent for anyone who wants to spent their  holidays in France. You undoubtedly would like to read more about our home.

The house has been built in 1949 as a private house and after years  as a barn and storage space for the  farm . Once we bought the house together with landed estates we have broken e out the whole interior  and renewed everything , as well on the ground level as on the first floor  and even the garret. All window frames and windows  (with double glass) and doors have been renewed. We also  renewed the electric installation. Against the northern facade we built a scullery.  Here in this sanitary space  you will find  the wc. shower,  the washing machine and wash dryer , vacuum cleaner and wardrobe.

 In the living room we replaced the open fire  through a pleasant wood stove (so called Poele). Here in this pleasant space there is the radio with  cd player, B&O television reception by satellite; Lounge suite, drawing room table, large cupboard and everything necessary to make you enjoy your stay. Further here in this room  the stair to the first floor. Under the stair is made a cupboard space  for all kind of things, but serves also as additional storage space for kitchen equipment. As you see the kitchens is part of the living room. In fact it is an open kitchen.

The floors is complete tiled newly (sterile and easy to clean  ). The dining set  has been situated in front he the kitchen opposite the dresser.

Also outside you can see many things like : the terrace, a playground for the children, a small stiff pasture with grazing sheep, a barbecue and picnic table. There is yet a large shed with possibilities for table tennis, storage of larger toys, wood for the stove and place for the car.
